Safwat Saleem
Here are three pictures by Safwat Saleem from his Oh Shit! collection which you can find on his site above. The images he has produced are screen printed I believe and based around the same sillouette theme each time a style which which I am quite fond of, Saleem also uses block colours either top or bottom heavy allowing you to be solely focused on the main section and giving a real sense of distance. Each poster has a clear unique texture to it due to its production and this really avoids the larger colour section becoming too over bearing and just give the images a much more interesting look. The choice of topics like Oh Shit! Lions! and so on thankfully do not follow ridiculous overused popular culture and just goes for a more random approach, one of which is oh shit flamethrower which really tickled me and I suggest you go have a gander at it yourself. A few follow the popular culture like the 8 bit and zombie approach but with these nice poster I’m sure Saleem can be forgiven. Nice work.
