Another typographical piece by Lester her just because of how wonderful it is. It’s a Gothic influenced piece but produced for the modern world avoiding a pastiche look. The word Hellfire sticks out boldly in the centre despite the use of one colour. I absolutely love the F in hellfire because of the sword like look which curls off at the top to produce the F, this and the dotting of the I produce a fire like effect this works well with the curves around the text which appear to resemble the dancing of a fire. Apparently the Hellfire Clubs where a set of clubs from the 18th century which according to Lester “As far as I can make out they mostly got drunk, shagged and swore a lot. It’s served as inspiration for this piece which I wanted to be darkly Gothic and beautifully sensual.”
