These 4 colour screen prints absolutely blew my mind when I saw them. Firstly, the style is absolutely fantastic which has a really friendly feel about it. Secondly, this piece has been screen printed yet it feels as if this has been constructed in 3D. This effect gives the piece depth, as if you could walk around the work.
This is such a great example of what can be achieved with printmaking and I feel this design would lose it’s appeal had it been purely digital.

I spotted this beautiful screenprint via Behance. What struck me was the effect the use of angles had on guiding the eye around the design. It appears the grid works both vertically, horizontally and at a 45 degree angle. Keeping to this grid creates a consistent feel throughout the design and also forces the eye to snake down the design.
The colour palette is limited but powerful. The intense orange and green literally jump out from the greyscale background. It also creates a layered feel which links nicely to the layered element of screen printing.
